Hey guys, once again :D

As we all learnt today in HCGL, having a great attitude is paramount if one wants to be a great cgl or a great anybody for dat matter :) It is one of the qualifications a person must possess :)

And we have learnt dat there are 4 great attitudes one must have amen? Namely, Humility, Positive Attitude, Enthusiasm (Entheos), and last but not least the one which i wanna share about today - WILLINGNESS :D

When we are willing to move in faith, God moves in exponentially greater steps than we can think of or imagine :) [1 Cor 2:9]

As i was reading my bible today, i was reading the book of 2 Chronicles (Jiayou bible reading!). And most of us would agree, dat the Chronicles can be quite a dry task, wat with all those genealogies and wat not. Probably the most number of names ever written in these books in the bible. (Besides the Book of Life haha)

However, you'd be surprised dat even within those seemingly boring names which we would tend to gloss over, you can find a word of revelation. Today, my word of revelation centres around this man called Amasiah, son of Zichri, a great man of war, a mighty man as the bible calls him. He served under the king of Judah Jehoshaphat.

During that time, Israel was in rebellion to Judah and had turned their hearts away from serving the Lord. They degenerated into idolatry, commiting spiritual harlotry under Ahab King of Israel. However, Judah continued to follow the ways of the Lord under Jehoshaphat.

Look at 2 Chro 17:10, 12 -13

10 And the fear of the Lord fell on all the kingdoms of the lands that were around Judah, so that they did not make war against Jehoshaphat.

12 So Jehoshaphat became increasingly powerful, and he built fortresses and storage cities in Judah.

13 He had much property in the cities of Judah; and the men of war, mighty men of valor, were in Jerusalem.

So the kingdom of Judah under Jehoshaphat became really powerful. And he had help from very mighty men.
Look at verse 16 of the same chapter:

16 and next to him was Amasiah the son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself to the Lord, and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valor.

See? This guy Amasiah, not only was he a mighty man of valor, he was the leader/commander of mighty men of valor! 200,000 of some of the best troops of Judah!

How did he attain to such authority and power? It all had to do with the attitude of WILLINGNESS :) The bible says dat he WILLINGLY offered himself to the Lord! Not only was he a man of valor, he was also a man of God!

With a willing attitude, he must have had a lot of faith to lead such a multitude rite? He must also have really relied heavily upon God, praised and worshipped, spent time with God to attain wisdom and understanding and knowledge in order to better command the men under him and also to better serve the king Jehoshaphat rite? :)

So he basically gave himself entirely, wholeheartedly to God, a living sacrifice! So even when other captains were tired from their work or training, after one tiring war campaign after the other, he would still muster up some strength, some time to meet with God everyday in his own QT. He was like David, a man after God's heart.

In the entire chapter 17, you only see this being said of Amasiah. So he must have been one of the most outstanding men, among the great men of Judah then.

Friends, when we humble ourselves and willingly submit to the will of God, when our hearts are teachable, when we avail ourselves, God will take us to heights beyond what we can imagine. The eyes of the Lord run to and fro, looking out for dat man, dat woman whom He can use for His glory.

Today, let dat man or woman be you! It all starts when you say, 'God, i am willing, take me and mould me.' When you have this great attitude, buckle up and hang in there. You're in for a great ride!

On Monday, some of us visited Moses' church, GK611, and here are some photos to fill those who were not there. :D

Check this out - the carpet is laid in a way such that a cross is portrayed!

It was an eye-opener for most of us I believe. In all, the place is really nice...and everyone of us enjoyed ourselves very much over there! Thank you Moses for your hospitality! :D

i said "Why not u asked him to give you a free drink..?" =X
cos since he is topping up the drinks.. hahaha.. =P

so johan didn't asked.. but rather put in coins to get his drink..
after that.. the guy actually asked..
"Do you want a drink? I give to you free."
hmmm.. i was shocked.. cos i didn't even asked for it.. =X

okiez.. i got to say this..
if not later johan and some of you will know that this entry is not complete.. =X

the vendor machine guy wink at me twice..
if i didn't remember wrongly..
once while asking the question..
second time when i rejected it.. but in the end i still took it.. =X

anyway.. just thankful for the drink..
cos whatever you asked.. you shall received.. =P

so dare to ask for what you desire from God..
if you don't ask.. you won't receive it.. =X

so yah.. be blessed wor.. =)

love,
pranee

We are created in the image of God, and thus we must be really careful with the way we speaks as it has power within. Looking at God, He did not made nor mould the world into existence.

He SPOKE the world into existence!

In Proverbs, we know that Death and life are in the power of the tongue.
Thus there is tremendous power in the words we speak and in the words we express to each other.

Someone once said " A broken bone can heal, but the wound a word opens can fests forever!" Woo this is so true..

let's strive to edify each other with words that are encouraging and of value.
This is especially so for those whose primary love language is words of affirmation.

"Don't you see that nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him 'unclean'? For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body." (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods "clean.") He went on: "What comes out of a man is what makes him 'unclean.'

The condition of our hearts is revealed trhu the words we expressed with our mouth.

"For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks."

May all our speeches and words be always full of grace and seasoned with salt. With whatever that comes forth from our mouth, let it be pleasing and acceptable in the sight our Lord Jesus.

Hey guys, just wanna share with you all. While i was studying and QT-ing tonight, i got a revelation while doing one of my HW assignments - writing a short passge or 'Sakubun' 「作文」 as they call it in Japanese :)

The topic is entitled 'Best Friend' 「親友 shinyuu」. So anyway here's the short passage in romanized japanese and also the meaning of the passage below it, so dat u can read and understand how it sounds like:

Watashi wa shinyuu ga inai no desu kedo, totemo ii yuujin ga takusan imasu.
Tokidoki hito wo shinji dekinikui to omoimasu.
Dareka ga shinyuu ni naru koto wa hontou ni taisetsu na koto desu.
Mochiron, tomodachi ga inai hito wa sabishii hito to iwaremasu.
Demo, dareka ni shitashiku naru baai ni tsuite nankai mo yoku kangaete shinchou ni kimeta hou ga ii no desu.
Seisho de yonde moratte nanika ii kotoba ga sou iwareta. [Chie no aru hito no soba ni ireba chie aru hito ni nari, warui hito no soba ni ireba aku ni somarimasu].
Desu kara, zehi tomodachi ni shite kudasai. Shikashi, sou suru toki, chuuyi shita hou ga ii no desu.

I do not have a best friend but i do have many very good friends.
Sometimes I think that it is difficult to be able to trust people.
Who becomes your best friend is a really important thing in life.
Of course, people without friends can be said of as lonely people.
But, regarding whoever becomes close to you (who you choose to make a friend), it is better to give it serious thought and make careful, prudent decisions.
I read in the Bible a very good passage which says "He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed".
Therefore, by all means, make friends with people. But in while doing so, it is better to exercise wise caution.

Yippee~ Haha i finally finished my HW! Praise God! Anyway, yea i thank God that even in my HW, i am able to sneak in a passage or two of Scripture :D So, may God's common grace do its work!

Anyway, yeah my revalation is in the highlighted area. Dat stood out to me the most. It's so true that who you mix with, who you choose to let into your life will determine how ur destiny in life will unvail :) True? Mix with bad company, and you will lose sight of ur destiny, mix with the right ppl, Godly ppl, and you will be accelerated into your destiny!

Last week during CG, i was a little affected when some of my cg members were saying certain negative stuff about me because i declined to fellowship at some eating place after CG because i was feeling really tired after a long whole day. Wat's more i drove, so it would be convenient for them la.

So anyway, they meant it in a joking fashion la, which i totally understand. But as i let the words sink in, i realised dat indeed, watever idle word a man speaks, that he shall certainly be accountable on the day of judgement.

So you know friends, really, we gotta be really careful of the kind of words we say to each other, because as we were taught in church, our words frame the world around us. Ask ourselves, do we speak words of encouragement, Godly words to each other? Or do we say stuff dat can cut into the heart EVEN if we meant them as harmless, innocuous words meant to be a joke?

I remember Sy Rogers teaching us dat it does NOT matter wat we think, it is wat ppl around us perceive us to be.

So, i just wanna encourage all of us, in this time of SOT together, as time goes by, inevitably, we might rub some shoulders the wrong way :) dat's natural cos we're all human and carnal mah.. But, we can all really esteem each other :) I believe our team will grow into a new level of anointing :) Let's encourage each other and help each other accelerate into our respective destinies! We will be salt and light here in SOT and in our world! Amen!

ben :D

Its really nice and kind of you guys! =) Aside from that, i'm pretty amused by the picture that featured Ronald and Jodie over at Botak Jones in the previous entries. So SHY!! tsktsk.. HAHA! 2 weeks have passed and i enjoyed every moment with all of you! Its refreshing to see all of us praising and worshiping God every morning in school! I'm looking forward to go to school everyday! =) Let's aim to be the best team in SOT and subsequent weeks ahead is gonna be enriching and its gonna get even better! Let's stay excited in the Spirit and here's a verse to encourage all of us!

Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jiayous people!! =D

signing off,
raymond
