Hey guys, once again :D

As we all learnt today in HCGL, having a great attitude is paramount if one wants to be a great cgl or a great anybody for dat matter :) It is one of the qualifications a person must possess :)

And we have learnt dat there are 4 great attitudes one must have amen? Namely, Humility, Positive Attitude, Enthusiasm (Entheos), and last but not least the one which i wanna share about today - WILLINGNESS :D

When we are willing to move in faith, God moves in exponentially greater steps than we can think of or imagine :) [1 Cor 2:9]

As i was reading my bible today, i was reading the book of 2 Chronicles (Jiayou bible reading!). And most of us would agree, dat the Chronicles can be quite a dry task, wat with all those genealogies and wat not. Probably the most number of names ever written in these books in the bible. (Besides the Book of Life haha)

However, you'd be surprised dat even within those seemingly boring names which we would tend to gloss over, you can find a word of revelation. Today, my word of revelation centres around this man called Amasiah, son of Zichri, a great man of war, a mighty man as the bible calls him. He served under the king of Judah Jehoshaphat.

During that time, Israel was in rebellion to Judah and had turned their hearts away from serving the Lord. They degenerated into idolatry, commiting spiritual harlotry under Ahab King of Israel. However, Judah continued to follow the ways of the Lord under Jehoshaphat.

Look at 2 Chro 17:10, 12 -13

10 And the fear of the Lord fell on all the kingdoms of the lands that were around Judah, so that they did not make war against Jehoshaphat.

12 So Jehoshaphat became increasingly powerful, and he built fortresses and storage cities in Judah.

13 He had much property in the cities of Judah; and the men of war, mighty men of valor, were in Jerusalem.

So the kingdom of Judah under Jehoshaphat became really powerful. And he had help from very mighty men.
Look at verse 16 of the same chapter:

16 and next to him was Amasiah the son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself to the Lord, and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valor.

See? This guy Amasiah, not only was he a mighty man of valor, he was the leader/commander of mighty men of valor! 200,000 of some of the best troops of Judah!

How did he attain to such authority and power? It all had to do with the attitude of WILLINGNESS :) The bible says dat he WILLINGLY offered himself to the Lord! Not only was he a man of valor, he was also a man of God!

With a willing attitude, he must have had a lot of faith to lead such a multitude rite? He must also have really relied heavily upon God, praised and worshipped, spent time with God to attain wisdom and understanding and knowledge in order to better command the men under him and also to better serve the king Jehoshaphat rite? :)

So he basically gave himself entirely, wholeheartedly to God, a living sacrifice! So even when other captains were tired from their work or training, after one tiring war campaign after the other, he would still muster up some strength, some time to meet with God everyday in his own QT. He was like David, a man after God's heart.

In the entire chapter 17, you only see this being said of Amasiah. So he must have been one of the most outstanding men, among the great men of Judah then.

Friends, when we humble ourselves and willingly submit to the will of God, when our hearts are teachable, when we avail ourselves, God will take us to heights beyond what we can imagine. The eyes of the Lord run to and fro, looking out for dat man, dat woman whom He can use for His glory.

Today, let dat man or woman be you! It all starts when you say, 'God, i am willing, take me and mould me.' When you have this great attitude, buckle up and hang in there. You're in for a great ride!
